My story...
Born in Brighton to wonderfully hippy parents, I was lucky enough to start practicing yoga during childhood. I have fond memories of practicing yoga with my dad before bed. I came back to yoga in my teens and my obsession truly blossomed. Yoga has supported me through exams, transions and all major life events.
In 2014 I finally took the plunge and did my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training course with Allie Hill and Toni Roberts and qualified just in time to start my Degree in Musical Theatre at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Moving to London as a newly qualified teacher was a daunting prospect but I was lucky enough to immediately start teaching at three London studios while doing my degree. As a graduate and full time yoga teacher I have now combined my love of yoga with my obsession for Vocal Anatomy and have created my own CPD courses for yoga teachers, merging these two disciplines. Take a look at my voice page to find out more. Since becoming a Yoga Teacher I have done additional trainings with Ray Long, Nova Milesco, Norman Blair and Melanie Cooper, Taylor Harkness, Andrew McGonigle (Dr Yogi), Ana Forrest, Adelene Cheong, Shimmy Levy-Riley, Stewart Gilchrist, Dana Falsetti, Andrew Misle, Diane Bondy, Richard Kravetz, Sally Parkes, IMT Yoga, Janet Stone, Kidding Around Yoga, and Susanna Barkataki and studied at the AyurYoga Eco-Ashram in Karnataka, India. |
In my classes I pull together my background as a dancer, my obsession with anatomy, and my love of the deeper spiritual aspects of a yoga practice. My classes are creative and meaningful, leaving you feeling grounded, calm, and energised. Each class is an individual journey to self discovery that everyone can explore. I welcome people of all backgrounds, sizes, ages, genders, and physical abilities into my classes with open arms.
My teaching style aims to be lighthearted and supportive with an emphasis on listening to your own body. I will encourage you to try something new, even if you can't do it yet, while never pushing yourself outside of your limits. If I could pick one thing for you to take away from my classes it would be to laugh more and smile more.
