LGBTQIA+ Wild Weekend Retreat
Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th July 2024
Gabi (she/her) and Lou (they/them) are excited to be running another weekend yoga retreat together at the unique zero-carbon Earthship in Stanmer Park, just 3 miles from central Brighton. Each day starts with an opening circle, followed by some nourishing and energising yoga. After a delicious lunch, we’ll spend the afternoon walking and daydreaming in the woods, taking a deeper dive into the more subtle practices of yoga, such as philosophy, meditation, and mantra. You’ll end the day with a sauna session, including a deep connection to the botanical gifts of the land, finished with some profoundly restful yoga and nidra.
These retreats take an unrushed, ritualistic, and slow approach, so you can really immerse yourself in the magic of the practice, in the supportive company of your community and the land. There really is a portal that opens in these spaces made for and by our community, where so much is able to emerge and be held. We hope you’ll join us! Lou and Gabi are accessible yoga teachers, happily specialising in working within their own LGBTQIA+ community. Their teaching is playful, trauma-informed, and consent-led, to invite students to meet themselves with compassion and curiosity. |
The Venue
The entire retreat happens at Stanmer Organics. 3 miles from central Brighton, this special cooperative site is devoted to sustainability, permaculture, and community wellbeing projects. We will be surrounded by woodland which give us the opportunity for guided walks to really immerse yourself in nature, and soak up the magic of the woods.
The yoga, massages, and lunches will be in the unique zero-carbon Earthship. We will also spend an afternoon at Stanmer Garden Sauna, for a wood fired sauna session in the woods, with guided sauna rituals with the warm hearted and bubbly Bella.
Please note: This is a non-residential retreat and accommodation is not provided. If you are traveling from out of town, we suggest you arrange your own accommodation locally where you are able to travel easily to the retreat each day.
Pricing
The whole weekend retreat costs £199 including all food, yoga, sauna and activities. Massages with Lou can be booked as an optional extra. These will be 30 minutes, fully clothed, on the ground and will be at the extra cost of £30.
We are offering an early booking price of £175 for anyone who books before the 30th April. After that, the full price of £199 and a concession rate of £185 will be available.
If you are experiencing financial hardship please get in touch with us and we will be happy to discuss a reduced price and a payment plan for you.

"Last Summer I had the pleasure of going on a retreat with Gabi in Spain for a week. For me it was a time for a pause and to be able to take stock. The yoga classes were personal and changed depending on the venues, from sunrise yoga on the roof to afternoon partner yoga in the shala. We even went to the beach. I highly recommend taking part in ones of these, whether you are looking for something for yourself or for you and your partner." |
