The workshops

Radical Marketing for Yoga Teachers with Tristan Katz
LGBTQ+ Representation in Yoga with Pooja Virani
Yoga for Stress and Anxiety with Daniel Groom
Freeing Our Yoga from Binary Gender with Avery Kalapa
Marketing is something every yoga teacher learns how to do but unfortunately most yoga teacher trainings aren't able to devote much time to.  Marketing doesn't have to feel forced or icky. It's about sharing your story—your WHY behind what you offer, and connecting with the essence of who you are. We'll focus on websites, social media, and newsletters, while weaving in the deeper awareness that our identities inherently play a role in the process of taking up space. Social location, proximity to power, and intersectionality will also be themes we explore.
In this workshop, we discuss how you can make your classes more LGBTQ+ inclusive by integrating modern social movements and ancient history. You will learn how LGBTQ+ rights and inclusion relate to yoga. We will explore how yoga’s past, from mythology to folklore to history, supports practices of diversity, equity, and accessibility. We will dive deep into the tools you can use to make yoga spaces safer for LGBTQ+ folx while honoring yoga's cultures and traditions.
Stress and Anxiety take a tremendous toll on the body, draining energy resources and keeping us in feelings of a constant state of high alert. We will look at ways to reduce stress in the body, breath, and mind, by building coping skills with a small daily routine of exercise, breathing, rest and meditation. We will learn easy and manageable ways to turn the negative energy of stress and anxiety into something positive.
Yoga philosophy and asana can help us become aware of, disrupt, and clear out binary gender, so that we can expand into deeper, more integrated, joyful embodiment and sense of Self. Let's gain inspiration, insight, and practical tools to create more affirming, inclusive yoga spaces. We will unpack how harmful binary gender norms show up in mainstream yoga classes, and gain practical skills to shift your yoga spaces to be more welcoming and affirming to trans and nonbinary folks.

How do I book?
“Gabi’s class is a warm and welcoming space; the safe environment she has created pervades the boundary of the screen. Gabi’s lessons are well planned and diverse. I like that we can occupy a space together, without any consciousness needing to be invested into considerations about gender, or normalised expectations for our bodies. I feel welcomed and accepted in the space Gabi has created for us. I can just be present and I don’t feel self-conscious.
